Yamaha e-bike upgrade: what you need to know

Yamaha drives are used in many e-bikes, not only Yamaha bikes. Here are the key points about the software upgrade based on the shop’s information.

Does my bike fit?

The upgrade is meant for Yamaha drives from model year 2016. According to the shop, older Yamaha systems do not need a code. If your bike is older, just contact the shop.

How the activation works

  1. Connect the display to your PC or laptop via Micro-USB.
  2. Open the activation link from the email in Chrome or Edge.
  3. Enter the license code. It only takes a few minutes.

Smartphones and tablets are not supported for Yamaha, so you need a computer.

Why does the display show less afterwards?
